Connected Futures, a drop in event to ensure compliance with Covid-19 restrictions, aims to offer residents a forum to share their thoughts about how 5G could enhance their lives, livelihoods and the area.
The project has already heard how a lack of connectivity affects lives. With many residents describing the difficulties and frustrations of having little mobile signal and poor, sporadic broadband.
However, by giving an insight into how the latest technology is being trialled in other areas of the UK, the project hopes to get the community thinking about how it could be used to support the area grow and prosper.
Representatives from the project, community organisations and support organisations such as the library service and Citizens Online will be on hand throughout the event to talk to residents.
Findings gathered from the event will be fed back into the project whilst, also informing national rural policy.
